View Pro P2P issues

Post by sinergi »

I have 2 cameras that are IP3M-941 and they both stopped working on the mobile app (iOS) outside of my network. In trying to fix them, I removed the devices to add them back in again. Now I cannot add them to the app at all.

Does anyone know if older cameras as recently deprecated? or other reason it would stop when all else stays the same?
  • The other 2 cameras I have are working fine (IP4M-1041B).
  • My router allows UPnP.
  • I am on IOS, latest version 1.02 of Amcrest View Pro 2.
See screenshot for the failure to connect message.

IP3M-941
Software VersionV2.620.00AC00.3.R, Build Date: 2020-03-30
WEB Version3.2.1.619604
ONVIF Version16.12(V2.4.1.513183)

Thanks,
Mark

Well I don't know why your camera won't connect my 941 is connected via p2p. I am not using Apple phone so only thing different. I removed it just now and added it back P2P to make sure it wasn't issue right niw and was added back. Log into the cameras webui and confirm the cameras p2p is online. If nit make sure it is open for access in router, that dns is setup and active.

Upnp shouldn't be enabled none of my cameras have it enabled plus have it turned off in my router.
Be Safe.

I feel silly now. I waited months to figure this out and while experimenting again last night, I had to do a factory reset. Now I am able to add it into the App.

So if anyone else loses P2P, a factory reset may be your answer.
