Mobile data not work

Post by mttghas »

Hello

I have a problem, I have been using an Amcrest camera for years with the old application and also with the new one and it has always gone great except for a while ago here that it only works for me and I can see the cameras if I am connected to the same wifi network, if I am with mobile data I can not connect with the old application or with the new one.

What is the reason for this? What is the possible solution?

You need to remove the camera from your App Then add it back using P2P method.. This is you don't use the IP method. You will need to input the Serial Number for the camera.. Then the password and admin for user.. That will let you connect on your network or off your network...

Thank you for your answer but this is how I currently have it, configured using P2P....

Sorry for the confusion. Normally, the only time a camera cannot connect over P2P is when P2P is either not enabled or not being used correctly, which is why I mentioned it earlier.

Since you already have it set up, I would first try rebooting both the camera and your phone. If it still will not connect and the camera is supposed to run in P2P mode, the next step would be to remove the camera from the app and set it up again using the P2P connection option.

At the moment, my own P2P-connected devices are still working correctly. Occasionally there can be a temporary server issue, which is rare but does happen. Because of that, removing the camera and re-adding it in P2P mode may help.

In the app, while connected to your local network, do a device search. When you select the camera you want to connect to, make sure the connection type at the top is changed to "P2P." That may be the step that was missed during setup.

Once configured correctly in P2P mode, the camera should work both on your local network and while connected through your cellular network.

I will send you a DM..
Be Safe.
