malfunction since Feb 15 update notifications

Post by Systemuser »

Motion alert notifications received on phone home screen malfunctioning since since Feb 15th 2023 update G app store says is ver 4.2.028. When pressing the most recent notification alert from phones home screen to see the most recent alert the app plays back a old motion recording from Feb 16 or date of old alert can change. Deleted all the notifications every day but app keeps putting that old video link back in at the bottom of the current Push Notifications-Event List and plays the old recording first on both our android phones. Looks like 10 other people wrote about this same problem in various ways on the G Play store since Feb 15th. On Google play store using an android phone, below the reviews, click link to See all reviews, change from sort by most relevant to sort by most recent to see reviews left since Feb 15th. Tried a few things listed below on my end did not fix it pretty sure it's just something with that latest update. Nothing below solves the problem, only mentioning it to help them troubleshot problem.
1. Deleted all the notifications from the Event list in the app and then, restarted the phone. In front of camera make a motion alert go off and that will be the new "sticky" video that shows up at bottom of event list but is played first when clicking new notification from home screen.
2. Went to phones-storage-app-settings-other apps-Amcrest View Pro, selected clear storage, clear cache. Restated phone, app was cleared of old settings, had to re-scan QR code in NVR enter pswd, re enable motion detection alerts. Tested by causing some motion alerts, now when selecting apps most recent notification from phone home screen, app opens to play recording but icon just spins in play screen, Used menu to go back one and most recent alert is at 2nd from bottom, or oldest alert was at the top of the push notification event list, but will not play when older alert is stuck at top of list, spinning wait icon just spins.
3. Deleted all of apps event list then in apps and notifications did uninstall app, turned phone off and back on in a few minutes, downloaded the app from Google play store. Tested again then no alerts came until I restarted the phone after the app was re-installed and all setup, after that can get alerts again but still making an old Motion detection event sticky at bottom of the event list and playing it first. New app installed says its build date is 20230209 and still does the same thing.
Could your app tech please check into what about the Feb 15th update could be causing this and see if they can fix it. Thanks

Update the app malfunctioning is persistent since the Feb 15 update, the problem has not gone away. When pressing the most recent motion detection alert from phones home screen which has a new current time stamp on the android phones home screen notification. The app plays back a old motion recording, it started doing this on Feb 16 on both our phones. Its pointless waiting for the old video to load to play back an old motion recording, so you have to push the back button right away to get to the push notification event list and manually scroll to the top to play back the most recent notification. The app seems to select the old video it will automatically add back when the phone is powered off and back on then the next motion detection after it is powered back on becomes the persistent video that will always play first before the most recent notification. Even if all of push notifications event list is deleted the app automatically adds that old motion detection alert back in by itself when a new alert comes in. Is any one else having this issue, I know some are because I saw their reviews in Google Play Store but I do not know how many. Any luck trying to fix it, is anyone working on it, just asking since there has been no response to this forum and to let you know it's still doing it.
