ip cameras not showing up

MY dvr has 6 analog and 2 ip cameras in ethernet ports.
My two IP/Ethernet cameras show up in Remote Devices but
in devices they don’t show up "online"
(Red dot; not green)

Hello and Welcome to the Forum

So not sure what DVR you are working with or the Cameras.

There are a few things that should be looked for when setting up a IP camera with DVR.. First make sure that the Password that you used is entered right. Now for some this next part may or may not matter, However want to make sure you are trying to use a IP camera within the format of the DVR's ability to process. Meaning not all DVRs will like a 8mp camera connected to a 5mp DVR. Some might work in the sub channel level but won't work on the main channel and others will choke all together giving a red dot.. Also could be related to the password as well. On some of my DVR/NVR's even when I have the right password in the camera I am connecting to the Recorder and should just pop up and work because they are the same. The recorder will reject the adding and I have to enter the password again.. Kind of a Pain at times...
