Amcrest View Pro and Pro 2 issues
I've had my camera system set up for awhile. It used to work fine with the Pro app. Then the Pro stopped sending notifications, which I heard was the case for most. I downloaded the Pro 2 and set it up the same way. With the pro 2 version I do get notifications, which is great. However, I can't open up the recorded or live cameras, unless I'm on the wifi that the cameras are connected to.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum, You will want to look at your older AVP as I am going to guess that you have them setup using the p2P feature where you scanned or entered the SN for the camera and this will let you access the camera over local and remote connections...
If you had your system setup with special VPN or some other method then you will need to do that same methodl in the AVP2.. When you do a search in AVP2 and find the camera it defaults to IP just click that and pick P2P if that is how and it will setup using SN don't have to manually enter it or scan it now.. Again doing a search for your cameras or DVR/NVR, then where it says connection type will default to IP, Just click it and pick P2P enter the password and your rocking..
