It used to be an old Amcrest Surveillance Pro, V 1.14.1.R that worked great, allowed seeing my cameras and download videos from their SD cards at normal speed only limited by network throughput of a connection between PC and a camera.
It looks like it doesn't run on the modern Windows anymore. There is a new version but it is super slooooow especially in downloading video. Don't you see that? When I try to download a video from a camera it's going very slow. And the Windows task manager shows me that the input network traffic to the computer is 135 Kbs. That is kilobits! I am connected to the Internet over almost 1GB ( that is gigabit) and the remote camera is connected over 100Mb (megabits). The older version of Surveillance Pro was able to download in the wort case at 7-10Mbs. I guess it is perhaps limited by microprocessor inside the Amcrest camera. But it was megabits! I didn't change anything in the remote cameras, only have to install the latest Surveillance Pro. And I am getting slow traffic. Why is that?
I see people were reporting the same slowness years ago in this board. Do you still have no solution?
Could you please rebuild the old version but make it compatible with whatever recent Windows 11?
This recent Amcrest Surveillance Pro program is not good at all. Have you tested it? On what Windows ? It looks it is not only slow but also quite buggy. Thus, if I click on a little gear icon on the top hoping to see a version info, it would almost always stop responding to any mouse clicks and only time is counting there.
The exe downloaded is Amcrest SurveillancePro-Win64_International_IS_V2.003.00AC001.0.R.230524.exe (185M)
Is there Amcrest Surveillance Pro with normal download speed?
Re: Is there Amcrest Surveillance Pro with normal download speed?
Is anybody here?
Why does Amcrest bombards me with emails about super deals of the the cameras, and nobody at support cares to answer a simple question about them?
