Re: Just found ASP NVR Zero Channel Preview

Keep in mind anyone that may be reading this. In some devices Zero Channel can be more harmful then useful. 41xx-hs 42xx-ai and others will be a window into the NVR GUI. Once someone in app or ASP uses Zero Channel in some devices will transmit everything being done on NVR GUI even seeing you input your pattern, passwords and see every move you make. Know what camera your looking at and even password info for new cameras even if watching user shouldn't have access to that camera after adding

So I just made a video using one of my DVR's and showed a clip of my 4116E-HS and that doing so will show Menu info I only showed the menu bar. The DVR don't show Menu nor does my 7108 and both DVR's the Zero Channel can be turned off. NVR's can't be turned off in the same way. Here is a Video from today.

Here is a Video I did about what I call a FLAW. At this time only used my Amcrest View Pro app and my 4216E-AI NVR. Time that video was made I didn't have my 8m16-H5 at home and didn't have remote access to it but in todays video that is the DVR's used from link above.. One below is showing more in depth issue using the NVR's as the GUI can be seen on the AVP or ASP of the person watching.

So had someone tell me that I didn't show Menu access or anything about the NVR main Menu because it don't work the way I said. So I setup an account on my 4116 for a User and took away ch13 access to show more about my Claims. I made a video today and you can see that here.

Now this is the same if the user is accessing the Zero Channel Via ASP or AVP either way you can see it all.

This Video also shows a way that you can keep control of your NVR

Setup the account to not have access to 1 camera that you watch full time Lets take in my case I normally use 1-9 grid view. If I setup any channel in 1-9 and keep that view on they will get 1 time access to Zero Channel to show all pictures on screen however after that they won't get access again. While this isn't fool proof I do show in the Video having access to Ch13 taken away does remove the right to the Zero Channel until I use GUI of NVR to go back to a View that is full access to the user.
