AD110 installed at weekend. All working fine, SD card installed, locally records motion, events come to app on phone, we can see it all as expected.
I have a QNAP NAS set up with Surveillance Station (for my main security cameras) and Motion Detection on these, and any motion records to the NAS.
Trying to set this up for the Doorbell as well, but only AMCrest IP cameras are listed. I have hoever set it up as a generic RSTP camera and this seems to work, but records EVERYTHING to the NAS, so constant 24/7 recording.
Looking at a way somehow to only record to the NAS if motion is detected - not sure if its possible?
URL im using on the RSTP feed is:
/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
Wonder if there's any documentation anywhere re what is available - are there perhaps options on the RSTP URL to only record if motion detected, or if there's another way to do it?
Also using the RSTP feed to ONVIFER app on android to see live (all) cameras using same URL
Thanks in advance!
Q re AD110 Events, local NAS storage
Re: Q re AD110 Events, local NAS storage
There are no options for RTSP to stream only on motion. This would be controlled by the NVR/Synology Surveillance Station.
Synology needs to be able to subscribe or poll for these events independently of the RTSP stream if relying on the doorbell to trigger motion. The alternative is for motion detection to be handled entirely in software by analyzing the RTSP stream.
As to documentation, the AD110 user guide briefly describes how to add the doorbell to BlueIris and an NVR, but nothing on how to configure recordings.
Below is a link to a detailed guide for how to configure a Dahua NVR to record only on motion/alarms. This guide might help if Synology SS has similar capability.
I don't know if this has been successfully tried with the AD110. I'm currently recording 24x7 to my Dahua NVR and am satisfied with that.

Re: Q re AD110 Events, local NAS storage
Hi Gary,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm ok also with the 24x7 recording, and local motion detect to SD card, just interested if others peoples comments / views and their setups
Use the QNAP NAS for cameras and also drives my Raspberry Pi / KODI setup
Thanks

I have the AD110 door bell working on my QNAP TS-453D NAS with QVR Pro. The AD110 is supported by QVR Pro and is a selectable camera. The settings are port 80 RTSP port 554.
QVR pro also allows you to setup motion event triggers.
