Broan Doorbell Chime
If I remove the chime kit my Broan doorbell chime is louder than with the chime kit installed. What do I need the chime kit for?

In most cases the Chime Kit is needed to pass the power though the doorbell chime. Normally a doorbell chime is waiting for a Switch to close a circuit to pass to the doorbell chime. So in Theory if you look at it like this.
Taking the Transformer and running both wires to your Doorbell Chime your chime will always ring. Cutting the wire that goes to F or 1 depending on the Chime and put a Switch in that line then the doorbell isn't going to ring. So the Theory is the camera is the thing and voltage normally don't pass though your doorbell chime so the Kit passes that voltage through the chime using the KIT so the camera has voltage to power the camera..
