Ad410 doorbell and mechanical chime connection issues

Post by Pr1970 »

Hey all

Just received an ad410 doorbell, I’ve been through
Ring, nest and Eufy doorbells in the past but I just can’t figure out how to get the amcrest to work with my freidland chime (uk).

On the photo I’ve tried connecting the chime kit wires
To the lower two connectors T3 and F2 as that was what my previous
Doorbells used. I also tried the 0 which also
Doesn’t work, it triggers the chime but it’s
Constantly buzzing.

Any idea ideas what I can do. Only thing I can think
Is it’s the transformer that is rated 8VA

Navaris Door Bell Transformer 8V 12V 24V - for Wired Doorbell Chimes - DIN Rail Mountable 8VA 230V Mains Converter 8/12/24 Volts Output - White https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07J2NWYC4/ ... 3P4RCD811B

Hope someone can help.
Thanks
Paul

Ok I’ve fixed it. Oddly I put back my old eufy doorbell that was working and then that was working with Alexa so I thought I’d try the amcrest with Alexa, I reconnected up the doorbell and suddenly the mechanical chime was working. No idea if it had to do with the app settings to enable that, but I’d tried that first time. Or if it just needed a power reset.
