Hi all,
When using my AD410 in night mode, I can always see a bright line appear on the brick pylon in front of my camera. Does anyone know what may be causing this and anything I can try to fix this?
To the naked eye, there is nothing really there where the line is. The only thing I can think of that would be causing this is ambient street lighting (the line is probably around about where the street lights are no longer being covered by the building - but again, to the naked eye there really isn't anything noticeable). Is this just the infrared being sensitive to the lighting?
Also separately... does anyone know how to remove the black bar on the far left? It makes me feel like the image is off-centre!
Anything I could do to reduce its effect or fix this?
Thanks
AD410 - bright line in night mode

I've seen this exact issue reported in a different forum. The response he posted was:

As to the black bar on the left - never seen that before.
The glare on his AD410 was on BOTH sides of the image. Upon receiving a replacement the glare was then only on the left side - still bad.After submitting a ticket at Amcrest support, they have advised me to RMA the unit as they think it may be a defect with some of their cameras.

Followup to last post. The guy I was referring to tried for a third time replacing his AD410's that had these bad image glare issues. The 3rd one had no problem with the side flaring at all! All three had a mfg date of 5/2022.
So obviously a manufacturing defect - NOT an environmental cause.
If outside the Amazon return date, then an RMA to Amcrest would be needed for a warranty replacement.

I'm having this issue, a quick google search led me to a few answers. This appears to be a manufacturers defect. You can "fix" it by putting small strips of electrical tape on both sides of the lens. The issue is the infrared lights shine into the lens itself.

Amcrest cannot offer a replacement right now but will offer refunds

Since there is a warranty period and I do like this camera, I'll use the tape "fix" until I can get a replacement.

@eko3alpha - I posted an update to this here: https://amcrest.com/forum/amcrest-smart ... tml#p42340
The good news is that the defect has been addressed and Amcrest has a new batch of doorbells ready to ship out via RMA.
