AD110 with chime UK

Post by MattBennett »

Hi all, I have been trying for some time to get my AD110 to ring an internal 16v chime.

I have this power supply https://www.esr.co.uk/shop/contents/en- ... ormer.html as proved working by @cliver https://amcrest.com/forum/amcrest-smart ... 15374.html

I am trying to connect it to a Honeywell/Resido D117 chime https://livewell.honeywellhome.com/en/classic/d117/ I have read users on other forums have had success with this mechanical chime and doorbell combination. Has anyone here had success with the aforementioned combination?

The camera, app and connection to my ZoneMinder install all work faultlessly, I am really happy with the doorbell, just need to get the chime working to make it the perfect solution for me.

I am starting to wonder if the doorbell or chime kit is faulty. I am going to delete the doorbell from the Amcrest app and carry out the setup up process again.

Matt:

I had similar problem, spent hours on it and finally had success.
When choosing the "Mechanical Chime" as the Chime Type I was not saving it, so the device did not acknowledge it as completely set up.

On the ap, go to Settings --->Device Information--->Amcrest Chimes --->Link digital/Mechanical Chime---->Click on either "digital Chime" or "Mechanical Chime" NOW THIS IS THE PART I ORIGINALLY MISSED: go to the top blue strip on the ap. There is a circle with a check in it. Click it and it with save whatever chime you have chosen.

It now rings both outside with the doorbell and inside with the chime kit.

Hope it works for you!
