AD110 Talk not working in Smart Home App

AD110 Talk not working in Smart Home App

I just got an AD110 doorbell and connected it up to my existing door bell and everything is working fine I can view video, listen to audio, motion detection is working except the two way talk doesn't work in the Amcrest Smart Home App in Android. If I press "Talk" I just get a loading text with "Loading..." which then times outs with "time out". I am using latest firmware 1.000.00AC006.0.R.200922

Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

2-Way talk is working for me via SH app this morning (same v.200922). "Loading" spun for a few seconds, then connected, even though it's 5F outside. Sure wouldn't want to be waiting outside the door for very long waiting on someone to answer!

Had some issues with I am guessing the cold at first but Gary says he had not issues and his Temps are lower then mine but yesterday I reset 2 cameras because I had some audio issues Ad110 was one and then another camera that some odd reason I wasn't able to 2 way talk after a reset 2 way talk is working again and after reset on the Ad110 all is working again. Sadly I no longer have it on a 24hr recorder and I am not sure I will return it to one as I have other Cameras with Audio taking up the slack where before I was use the Ad110 as Mic for front after moving my normal front mic... To be honest I am not 100% sure the issue was with my Ad110 I just think it was the other one that had the issue and I just Reset both to be sure..

Latest FW broke the 'call' function. Prior to updating to 0922 I used to get a call on my phone that I could answer. Now it rings maybe once but I cant answer and talk back.

Fleegle have you tried to do a Reset and not connect to NAS or NVR for some reason as soon as I connect back to my Amcrest NVR or one of my DVR's the call and motion no longer functions and I have to do a Reset just removing from a Recorder didn't help by it self I had to do a Reset..

Had it off the NVR worked after doing a Reset at the Doorbell camera. Last night added it back to the 2116-HS and sadly it went to not working with Motion again and when my Son today pushed the button once I get a alert on my phone not ringing only Vibration. He pressed it again and I got a Fast pop up but couldn't answer. Pressing a 3rd time I could answer and hear but he couldn't hear me..

So I Did another Reset again after removing it from my NVR so it wouldn't Repopulate there. After setting the zone again I am getting motion as expected and call to Cell worked with tone and call worked both ways..

Only thing different and I am not sure if this was before or after but the 2116-HS is on 4.0FW other then that not sure why Doorbell no longer works on it I have had it on there for long time with some odd times but reset took care of it. Now only Reset will take care of it if I keep it off the Recorder. However it might be an issue with 922 because for some they report having issues they didn't have before some report issues with NAS others that have talked about it hasn't reported after removing from NAS other then a Its working with it not on NAS.. So I don't know if it is Constant and others have returned them to Recorders and working or not.. But something to look at.

I do know I made a Mistake adding it to my 5mp TVI DVR that has PIR abilities first thing it did was Kick encoding down to D1 or 704x480 forced the Brand Tag on the camera and made it un happy. Turning off the tag didn't remove from camera, reboot did but doing a Backup I seen it was in the backup. So removed from that Recorder did yet another camera reset to Clear that issue now no longer in backup

I will give that a try just as a test to see if I can resolve it. My wife has the app on her phone and it works fine for her but I am not sure if she is running the older version of the app or not. We were in Colorado last month and someone rang the doorbell and her phone rang and mine didnt. So it has me wondering if its totally a NAS issue or phone app version issue. I am running smarthome 3.7.0 I need to see what version she is running. If I could go back one version....that would be another good test.

Going back 1 might have to ask Amcrest if they could send you a link for your phone as I don't know of another way to go back. Sadly not sure what version my iOS was on last but oddly it wasn't working when I was having issues with my Droid either. Looking today the version my iOS is on is 3.7.0 so I don't know I just know that I am getting alerts on all phones connected now where they were not before.

Not sure why things are going strange right now with the Doorbell camera, I am guessing there was Program issue however some people still have no issues with being connected to some other Recorder be it ASP, or Blue Iris or hardware and others are, or at least I am and found only cure was to keep it from any of my Recorders and it works fine. So until the next Ad110 update I will keep it recording it data to the MSD only..

2-way talk also works for me with 200922 firmware. Also my AD110 is continuously recorded by Zoneminder.
One thing I noticed that when Talk and Listen were ON, the motion detection did not work.

OK I found out what the problem was it seems :D My ISP has a porn filter that was enabled on the Internet connection and it seemed to be interfering with the cloud connection for some reason. I disabled the filter and everything started working. Why this is I have no idea.

hmm... isp filtering amcrest as opposed to filtering porncrest. :lol:
