Sharing the IOS App

Post by PCRC »

I am installing the Amchrest NVR with POE cameras at a customer's home. I set up the IOS app and can see the one camera working so far.

I want to share this with the owner. I'll tell him to download/install the IOS app but the only Username I see is the default "admin" and the password I have selected.

This doesn't seem to be the information I need to share with the owner so he can see his cameras.

What login info do I need him to enter to access his cameras long distance? He is not near his house so I can't grab his phone and set it up using his wireless network. Seems I'm really missing something!

Thanks
John

What I would do is setup the System to work with P2P and then they will need to use the P2P option on the App and the SN of the NVR along with the admin and what ever password you setup for them...

With a POE NVR there is a Security type Firewall in place.. This mean that all the cameras that are connected to the NVR directly will not have much options for making Camera setting changes.. So if your system is say an 8 Ch Poe with 4 POE ports the other 4 cameras would connect to a POE switch or other Power and be connected to your Router that your NVR is connected and them cameras could be connected from out side again with the P2P of the camera and admin and password.. However if all ports are POE and all cameras are POE inside the NVR ports limited access for setup for the cameras from outside the network...
Be Safe.
