NVR4108-A2

Post by Dino55 »

I have a total of 7 wireless cameras 4 of them are local to the NVR and 3 of them are remotely connected, Everything seems to work fine except I'm unable to select more than a 1 single window or 4 windows layout. I am not sure if this issue is from being login remotely and for some reason the software is not letting me select the menu to change it OR is it because there are only 4 cameras locally. I would think you should be able to select any window layout regardless of how many cameras you have, Is there a different was to invoke the menu when your accessing it remotely or is this a software bug.
Look at the bottom of the picture and you will only see the 2 options I described.

You will want to use ASP, Edge with IE mode or if Chrome still offers e tab install and use that. In truth Edge is better as its built in. Also IE mode is said to be supported until 2029

In Edge click 3 dots on top right, click settings, click default browser (your not setting it as just ignore or say no if asked.) Then in there is where you can add ip addresses to open in IE mode. Once you do when you put in ip for your NVR it will load in ie mode it will prompt you to run in Edge just x that and use. You will have to update ip setup once a month

Perfect! That did fix the issue, I figured it had to be software related....

Another question for you, evetime I open up the NVR it defaults back to 4 windows, is there a way to set the default to say the 8 windows.

Thanks!

Ok Give me a second. I think I moved my Fastlive system out of my Local network. Let me see!..

So I did have one on my local network and while it is a Dahua AI NVR it looks the same as the Amcrest one in the picture. So under the live area on top, is what is the normal set to 4 view. Now on mine it is a 8ch and only options is 4, 8 or 9 view so my guess is yours is the same. Click the area showing the 4 drop down to 9 then press the Fast Live and it will load your installed cameras in the grid.

My other Amcrest systems are Remote to me right now so I don't have access to my GUI on others and not sure they even offer that if memory serves me. So it might be that it will save it that way but I will say that my Dahua that is an older unit kind of like the A2 but isn't as new even after clicking the 9 and fastlive after a Log out and back in I have to do it again.

Good news really is that even if it was where it don't save it it is only 2 steps to live view over having to click 9 grid below and open each camera 1 at a time..
Be Safe.

I just checked again and don't see an option to save it that way, but like you said it's only 2 steps...
Oh I did check the Chrome extension IE-TAB and it's still available, I installed the extension and it worked as well as the Edge - IE mode.. Thanks for the suggestion.
