Foscam vs Amcrst
Foscam vs Amcrst
I have 6 foscam 821v2 and 2 Amcrest IP2M.....I need a nvr that will work with both. Foscam support says their cam"s use ONVIF, If amcrest uses ONVIF I am fine. Any ideas which way to go? Amcrest NVR or foscam NVR
Re: Foscam vs Amcrst
Hello and Welcome to the forum.
IF they are onvif compliant then sure any of the amcrest NVR's would work. About telling you what Brand you should get is really up to you. However I personally would look at 4116-A2 and I know you said you have 8 cameras now but if you buy just a 8ch NVR then you have no room to grow. Plus with 16ch you can add in an extra camera for setting up before you go and put it into use. This way when you take out to replace another older camera it is ready to run..

Re: Foscam vs Amcrst
I have the Amcrest 4116-A2 and it's a great NVR. Currently, I have 1 DVR connected to it plus some wifi cameras connected to it and works great!
