DAV conversion

Using an Amcrest NVR with IP8M-T2499’s. Recording at 8MP with audio using AAC codec. When downloading AV clips, what is the most popular DAV conversion program you guys are using to be able to play the clips in a more widely used format that would be more accessible to others such as law enforcement. I have tried a few conversion programs but had not had success. Anyone have any suggestions for one they use successfully to convert to MPEG or AVI? TIA for any help!

Amcrest Surveillance Pro 2 or SmartPSS should download one or a batch of NVR camera video files to PC in mp4, avi, or several other formats.
