Can only see 4 cams when connecting to NVR via browser?

Post by RickciR »

We have a NV2116-HS NVR with 16 cameras. When I connect to the I.P. address for the NVR and log in, I can only see four cameras. Can I change this remote view to 9 or 16? I can't install the Surveillance Pro software because of a bug in the installer (window is too small for contents.) Besides, the reason we have the NVR is so it does the work, not the PC. If I use the Android app I can see all 16 cameras. But on the browser, only 4.

Tried Chrome, Firefox, Edge - does not work in any. Tried the IE version that comes with Fiddler, but can't install plugins.

Yes as per 2019 or 2020 FW that is the limit it will have for the NEW JS firmware at this time... While I can't say there is a way to make it better however might be able to setup some different Admin accounts and then setup 4 on display with admin and then 5-8 on admin1 and so on and title them in your monitor or even run a multi monitor setup...

Edit: While I know this is a PITA to have to have it setup that way I did test on my 2020 FW NVR I have 2 accounts setup for Admin and I setup 4 windows on a screen and added another chrome window and added 4 more tiles to that login and gave me a 8 view and I understand this isn't productive it is a way to make it work.. Once I setup the 4 windows I pressed the full screen button that is below the screens and it does kind of shrink and make things look funny it is a way to get more then 4 on a WebUI setup..

Loaded it in an old computer with an old version of IE. All the options are there - various camera grids, etc.. I really wish they would update their plugins and software.

Sadly I am not sure how you have it running in IE.. But I guess harder one pushes it will happen...

Main thing is that the IE will be removed from Life in 2025 so people are Pushing for HTML5 and non IE life so the new FW 2020 will be able to work in other without a Plugin because they are not needed...

Is this seriously true that they only have display for 4 cameras in the amcrest app ? I had 16 channel hikvision for 10 years, just upgrade it to 32 channel amcrest and i am very frustrated and angry to see this crap. literally it's a joke. Guess what I am returning it tomorrow. Thanks !!

@sparkle Hello and welcome to the forum

Sadly you might want to look over your New FW Hikvision or any new Version of NVR/DVR that comes out.

I also have a good few DVR's NVR's and I have some older Hikvision that is like you said if I want to play all 16ch it will display all on the screen.. However one of the ones I no longer own because one of my friends wanted it more then I did and I gave it to him. It was one with 2019 FW where my older ones are like 2012, 14 and 2016 they all play all Channels on WebUI however my 2019 one didn't it too would only play 4ch at a time in WebUI on the GUI of the Recorder it would display all channels..

While this is a pain kind of the good news is that if you really need to have more then 4 channels displayed then you can open more browsers for more views. Personally I prefer my NVR's GUI over the WebUI myself..

Another option is using ASP *Amcrest Surveillance Pro* to display your cameras over a computer if your not within the Recorders range with a monitor for the recorders GUI...
