Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
I have an NVR5232 that I was requested to pull snapshots off of. This NVR is specifically for snapshots only, not recorded video (we implemented another NVR for that). I can see the size of the disk going down, so it has data, but I can't figure out how to pull these files. I've accessed the NVR in ASP, Edge, and the Chrome app, and I cannot find any way to view/download these. Any help would be great. Is there a way to browse to the NVR to pull these?
Re: Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
I use the Amcrest desktop software to download my footage. Amcrest Surveillance Pro

And you're able to get to the snapshots? Via the Pro app I am able to search the data, but when I attempt to download I get "Failed to download *filename*.jpg" and cannot view the images
Re: Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
I personally don't know who would want to use AVP to access pictures. As posted before ASP would be the better. in my AVP I can only search for 10min of footage. If I need a picture off there I just normally take a screen shot from it. However most of my things are FTP so I can get off there a lot easier.
However with AVP bring up Playback, Then choose the Picture under the Search button, Then choose what you want to search pictures from. Then you can put in the date or if today is fine it will search the whole day after pressing search. You can then access on the right to find the right time for the event or if you didn't know the time you can just hit the next at the center bottom to scroll though the list. If you don't see a list on the right it might be hidden behind a drop back arrow just click the arrow to bring out the list. It would look like picture. Just click the Diskette looking icon at the top and choose the location you want it saved in

Re: Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
The issue is I'm not getting those options, it's crashing at the initial data pull. Ran firmware again, no go, going to try another one support just sent me. Will update.

Re: Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
Yeah I don't know. If it won't even display. You might have a Network connection issue. I have done a good amount of testing on many different devices from DVR/NVR's to cameras and even thought maybe it was an issue being over P2P however I am able to DL footage form remote devices on ASP over p2P so I am not sure what.
Not being able to even display it wonder if you checked it on ASP, and hit the Disk looking icon up next to the Search box if it would put on local HDD and you could view it that way.
However seeing it shows broke image not sure maybe the NVR isn't able to make a good image?

Re: Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
Well I discovered I can't pull snapshots from any NVR (as an IT guy...this made me feel dumb taking so long to think about that). I wonder if it's the ASP version...I'm running the latest version but going to try to run an older one I found on our file server (v.1.14.1).
Re: Accessing/Downloading NVR Snapshots
Running old version (and having to install old C++ x86 redistributable package) worked. Weird. At least I have my files, now to download 1 day and 1 camera at a time...gonna be a long day.
