White Translucent Floaters In Night Vision
I am very puzzled about a strange phenomenon that occurs only when the camera (IP2M-841B) is in night vision. There are intermittently white ghost-like specks of different sizes that float upward and disappear, some moving faster than others. There is absolutely nothing in the field of view (living room) of the camera that could be seen. Has anyone had this occur and does anyone know what this could be and how to eliminate these odd "objects" from appearing?

Re: White Translucent Floaters In Night Vision
I suspect what the camera is catching are dust motes that float in front of the IR light. IR lights up all sorts of small objects. An AC fan could be stirring the specs and blowing them into and out of focus. I get those frequently. I positioned a camera under a patio and used to think I was seeing swarms of tiny bugs but realized they were motes or even tiny water molecules. Man, you should see what it looks like when fog moves in! The only way to reduce the events is to adjust the Sensitivity and Threshold settings. A more extreme option would be to use a motion detection light and turn off the IR feature.
