What is Video Tempering?
What is Video Tempering?
Can anybody explain what video tempering is and when to use it?
Re: What is Relay-out?
Can anybody explain to me what Relay-out is, how and when to use it? I see it in several places in IP config settings for my Amcrest IP2M-841 ProHD 1080P WiFi IP Security Camera.
Re: What is motion detection threshold?
For my Amcrest IP2M-841 ProHD 1080P WiFi IP Security Camera, in IP config settings, under Motion Detection and Detection area, you can set up to 4 regions with different sensitivity and threshold. I understand the sensitivity part, but not sure about the threshold. There is also a graph underneath threshold. What's the point? How to use it?
Re: What is Video Tempering?
Hello newman,
1) Video tampering setting is for notifying customers if somebody is trying to tamper the camera or block its view.
2) Relay out- The camera has an external port to connect an external alarm in and alarm out devices.
3) To explain the threshold and sensitivity, take a lool at the below explanation.

Re: What is Video Tempering?
Thanks for answering my questions. I have good understanding of video tempering, but still got some questions on other two things.
Still confused about Relay-out. I don't have any external port, why do I see the "Relay-out" button turning into red and grey in PC view? From my observation, it appears that it turns to red if it's recorded detected motion. is it right?
For threshold, what's the graph underneath for?

Re: What is Video Tempering?
Hello newman ,
The relay out turns red when it detects motion. I believe it works like that even if you do not have any external alarm connected.
Its for testing the threshold value. You can stay on that page and make a movement to see if motion is detected at that threshold. Someone has to monitor the graph while there is movement inf front of the camera.
