In the manual it says the following:
Watermark Settings: This function allows the user to verify if the video has been tampered with.
Watermark Character: This field allows the user to set the watermark’s text. The default string is Digital CCTV. The maximum length is 85 characters. This string can only include numbers, characters, and underscores.
I don't see the watermark anywhere on my images or video. Is this watermark recorded automatically under certain conditions?
What is the Watermark Settings?
Re: What is the Watermark Settings?
I am not sure.. I changed my Watermark to make it reflect my system... From what I was told there is a way that if the system is ever needed for evidence there is a way for someone to detect that the footage has the right watermark I have not seen it but I have not really played around or looked for them.. I will go look over some footage that I saved from last year and see if there is some setting on the playback program that will show the watermark and report my findings

Re: What is the Watermark Settings?
Well first I looked and I was like this isn't working as I thought.. Then I noticed that I was looking at footage from a different system by another company.. Watermark info in that program shows a lot but nothing about name just data...
So I went to different area on the backup and found some Amcrest... Right click the file went to play using DAV player and there at the top is a COG for settings, the one next to it is for watermark. When you click that a window comes up and there will be a right and left side on the left click the file you want to check watermark. Then you press check on the right side it will scan the file and show you the results.. So in mine it said 100% was NeinCCTV seeing that is what I use as my Water mark... I am going to guess that if there was a break in the file where there was something doctored it would show there was a change

Re: What is the Watermark Settings?
So I need a special DAV player to view the watermark? Is there a specific DAV player you are using?
Re: What is the Watermark Settings?
Hummm I am just using the one that came with my Amcrest Cameras... let me see if I can find it on here and I will post a link to it if I do.. I am not sure now if it DL when I make the Backup for the footage as I know one of my system does and drives me nuts that it saves it every time I make a back up of a File that I clipped... I will save a file and see if that gives it or if i have to DL the Amcrest as I can't remember where I got it I just know I have the Amcrest on installed on my computer...

Re: What is the Watermark Settings?
I will say sorry in advance because I am not sure anymore what is what lOL... I have so many systems that it is hard for me to keep track of what is what... So I am not even sure anymore if the file that I used the program on was a CVI dav or if it was from my NVR because I don't remember what player the backup was made from... For a Fast look the Player I found is for CVI but says Dav file so I am going to guess that it plays them all..
https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/ar ... 0P-HD-CVI- is the player I know I installed but I just DL a new clip and yeah the NVR don't make me DL a program every time so I guess that it is my Other Company TVI DVR that does that to me lol... Anyway the info and clip plays in the player so I am sure it will work for all the amcrest DAV files and will be able to test them...
