webplugin install problem
Whether I try Chrome or IE, I can't seem to get the Amcrest web view working. Both will say I need to install the plugin. When I try installing webplugin.exe, it'll pop up and seem to go 1/3 of a bar and then just diappear. I only have windows defender and disabled it. Why won't it install? Using windows 10.

Hello themishmosh ,
Usually if that happens it could be a firewall or anti virus issue. Some Anti virus program removes it thinking its a malicious software. You may have to turn it off.
Please try the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software to see if that works better for you.

Thanks Melvin. Surveillance Pro works.
Re: webplugin install problem
Hi - I'm having a similar problem. I downloaded the webplugin completely, but then nothing happens. I tried it again after shutting down the firewall, and still the same issue.
Re: webplugin install problem
I can get the webplugin installed and login with IE11 on win10 but the videos are out of size and i cannot see most of the buttons. Support couldn't get it to work either.

Hello,
Please try the below steps for issues with the web interface of IP camera/DVR showing disproportionate image in Internet Explorer.
1) Please navigate to C:/Program Files.
2) Go to the folder named 'Webrec'.
3) Go to the folder named 3.0.0.3
4) Right Click on the WebActiveX and go to 'Properties'.
5) Click on the 'Compatibility' tab and check the box 'Override high DPI scaling behavior ' and select 'Application' for 'Scaling performed by'.
6) Click on apply and OK and now restart internet explorer.

Re: webplugin install problem
Whenever i try to download the plugin it takes me to the amcrest download page but theres no plugin. I've downloaded different browsers and it still doesnt show a plug in available. The amcrestview.com plugin works but that not the one i need. I have purchased 4 cameras and will gladly return them for a Lorex system.
