I've configured my router to permit remote access to my Amcrest NVR4108.
When I connect from a remote network, I get the login web page, but the
admin password (which works via web on the same computer when on the
same LAN as the NVR) does not work.
NVR is running System Version 3.200.AC00.0, Build Date 2016-04-26, the same
version as the current firmware download at the Amcrest site. Web version is 3.1.0.5,
and "Soft Version" is 10003.
What should I try next?

web login works on local net, but not remotely
Re: web login works on local net, but not remotely
I'm having a very similar issue w/ an Amcrest NV2108E. I can login using the Admin account(s) when connecting the NVR to display via HDMI, but loading and logging in via the Webpage (HTTP & HTTPS) & Amcrest Mobile App (TCP/37777) fails using the same accounts. I thought it was a faulty NVR and ordered a replacement, but the same issue has returned after 48hrs on the new one. A power cycle of the NVR doesn't resolve the issue and this is a big issue as the NVR is seemingly unusable.
@AmcrestSupport we at least have 3 cases of this Web Account Failure, is there a patch for this problem?

RMH - In your instance, does it matter if you change the Radio Dial from LAN to WAN when logging in remotely??

Hello J2Red ,
have you set up port forwarding for the TCP and HTTP ports and ensured that they are open? You can use the below link to check if ports are open on your networks.
