Hello,
I am trying to access my system remotely using the web interface. I know I have everything set up correctly because I can already access it remotely using the iPhone app. I get to the login screen and type admin for the username and then the password I have set for the admin account (again, it already works with the iPhone app using the same admin password) and I get a message indicating "Login Failed" with no other details. Anyone experience this or know what I'm doing wrong?

Web interface not letting me log in
Re: Web interface not letting me log in
Hello mjdaggs ,
I believe you have set up port forwarding but have you set up port forwarding for the TCP port also? Also login failed could be because of a plugin problem. Please try another browser to see if that helps.

Re: Web interface not letting me log in
No I only set up port forwarding for the HTTP port. I'll try port forwarding for the TCP port and see if that helps. I did try multiple web browsers without success.
Re: Web interface not letting me log in
Unfortunately that did not fix the problem. I have the HTTP and TCP ports both forwarded correctly, but I still only get to the login screen and receive the "Login failed" message. I double checked and both plug-ins are installed and allowed by the browser - none are blocked. Any other suggestions? I can use the web interface while I am accessing it at home - even while logging in via my external IP address - and it logs in OK. Not sure what the problem is here.
Re: Web interface not letting me log in
Hello mjdaggs ,
Are you trying this from the same laptop that works at home or is this a work computer? I asking this as in some work computers there are restrictions or other programs that blocks the plugin.
Another option is to add the camera to Surveillance Pro software with the external IP and TCP port or serial number of the camera.

Re: Web interface not letting me log in
It was a work laptop I was trying it from. I brought it home and connected it to my home network and I still get the same problem - sometimes it says Login failed and other times it claims the "Account doesn't exist". Other than adding the surveillance pro software - is there a way to try and fix the problem with my web interface? Maybe delete the plug-in and reinstall?
Re: Web interface not letting me log in
Hello,
Account does not exist message happens if the username is put in incorrectly. It looks like a plugin issue. Yes you can try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Re: Web interface not letting me log in
Understood - however I'm positive the username was correct. As I said - I can get to the web interface just fine when I log in on a computer connected to my home network. The only issue I have is when I try to log in from my work computer. I uninstalled the plug-in per the instructions in the link and reinstalled - I still get the same error messages in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Also - the Surveillance Pro software did work on my work computer while connected to my home network, but while back at work even that software can't access my DVR. What could be blocking the signal from getting through?

Hello mjdaggs,
So on the work laptop when connected to home wifi it works on the web interface as well as surveillance Pro.Is this correct?

Re: Web interface not letting me log in
Correct - I can now get the web interface AND surveillance pro to work from my work laptop while connected to my home network. While connected to my work network I can not do either. I'm guessing it is because my work network goes through a proxy server to access external sites. I have full access to external sites though and can get to the login screen - there must be something in the coding not allowing the username and password to transmit properly through the proxy? I don't see any settings in the surveillence pro software to indicate a proxy server is in use or how to log in to it. The web browser interface I would think would simply use the browser proxy settings though. It must be something with the plugin not working with a proxy server?
