Video Loss

Post by Bravo64 »

I have a 960H 8 camera DVR. I currently have just 7 cameras connected. When I initially hooked up everything, it worked fine. Then one morning, I noticed all the cameras were out on my monitor. It appeared the power supply I had went bad. For some reason, I couldn't get 1-power supply for all 8 cameras. Amcrest said I had to purchase 2, 4-lead power supplies. So I purchased them. After installing the power supplies, I got 6 of the cameras working again. For some reason, one camera would not work. I checked it outside and noticed it wasn't getting any power. So I purchased another camera, 1080P HDCVI. Installed it and still no power. Interestingly, when I plugged in that camera, I would lose video to another, working camera. Thinking the cable run might be bad or damaged, I purchased another 60' cable and ran that. Now I see the camera is receiving power, however, still no video. Tried rebooting DVR also, with no change. Feeling so frustrated. Any suggestions?

Hello Bravo64,

Unfortunately the 1080P HDCVI cams will not work with the 960H system. You need cameras specific to the 960H system.
