Unable to do hardware factory reset
Unable to do hardware factory reset
I switched routers and need to do a factory reset on POE bullet camera model 1P2M-852EB. There is no external restore button and I can’t figure out how to open up the camera. The camera has 6 sides with a seam about an inch back from the lense but I am unable to seperate it. There are no screws but there must be a secret way to do it. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum
Sadly if you need to do a Reset of the camera you will have to take the camera apart.. There is a Reset button in the inside of the camera.. You will need to have a good access point for the camera meaning you should have it in hand on your Desk...
Careful remove the Front Cover that is stuck to the front of the camera, Thin object and kind of wide to help not damage the cover, it is connected to the front glass area. Once that front cover is Removed you will have access to 4 Screws under the cover. Remove the screws, now it is said you will have to unplug the IR I don't think that is needed but to be Safe so you don't short anything out Unplug the IR lol..
Turn the Camera back on by plugging it into a POE Switch, or Injector. After about 1 min press the little Micro Switch next to where the IR plugs in and hold it for upto a min most times takes 30 to 45 seconds you should hear the IRC click and you will know your system has started a Reset.. Give it 2 minutes to complete and log into the camera. YOu might need to find it in your system using IP config or you can use arp -a or -g from a command prompt if your system IP is not to long.. Easy way would be Ip config tool.. Once you get new IP the admin is admin for user and pass. Make sure to change the password again...
