Timestamp went back to year 2000

Post by gammy999 »

IP4M-1026W camera...two cameras on network...only one camera has the issue. I have had the camera three weeks and this is the first time it has shown an incorrect timestamp.
I bet this has happened to others...any advice? tks

Hello gammy999 ,

Please login to the web interface of the camera from a PC and then go to set up > System > general and there under time settings use the option 'Sync With PC'. Uncheck the option 'NTP'. This should correct the time.

I have to do this pretty much every day! I have 2 cameras. One always has the correct timestamp but the other needs to be reset. Any suggestions?

Would opening the port on the NTP server help? https://amcrest.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 288#p21288

This is a defect within this camera. I've replaced my front door camera with a newer version of this camera. It works great.

So this problem is caused by some defect in this camera. The defective camera would also occasionally turn on night mode distorting the view. I'm disappointed in this specific camera although, overall, I like this model. Sigh!
