I don't know if this will help with the issues others are having, but I had to download and install Firefox 52.1.2 (32-bit). I was then able to download and run the plug-in. A small message window appeared below the address bar and I had to use it to specify that I wanted to run the plug-in and allow it to run each time.
This is the ONLY browser that I have been able to get to load the plug-on and successfully access and configure my camera.
Amcrest, fix this already.
Safari Plugin
Re: Safari Plugin
it appears that this company cannot answer the question about the plugin for your ip cameras in firefox chrome or ie.. nothing works but you keep telling people to download the plugin.. it does not work.. will it ever work? I just bought a dozen cameras and i can see them on my mobile app but I want to see them on the computer. WILL IT EVER BE FIXED?

I also have the same issue.
Re: Safari Plugin
Hello,
Currently the plugin works with IE and Firefox (using workaround). Please give us a call if you are having trouble so that we can further look into the issue.

Re: Safari Plugin
Can Amcrest just post a working download for the latest webplugin.pkg that supports all Operating Systems and Browsers? The Firefox workaround link didn't work for me and because I'm on an Apple I don't have I.E. Chrome is kludgy with the pop-out separate window and uses a lot of my computer's resources. I just want it the way it was when using Safari web browser - why is that hard to do?
Re: Safari Plugin
The correct solution is to change the codec on the camera so that no plugin is needed on any modern browser.
All modern browsers natively support several video formats and current versions of HTML / Javascript. There really isn't a reason to have the camera output something that isn't natively supported.

Re: Safari Plugin
All,
If you're using Safari 11, you know that you cannot install the plugin from the camera's webpage as others have described in this thread. Tech support emailed me the plugin. I am posting it here for download in case it helps others:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/rcoq9wc8gdquj ... a.pkg?dl=0
Install the plugin and then click to "Trust" the plugin when you visit the camera's page. It will then work in Safari 11.
Cheers.
