I recently acquired two Amcrest ProHD cameras, one fixed and one movable.
Both were working fine yesterday, however the camera that previously had PTZ working is no longer taking any commands from any interface (Web, Blue Iris, or Amcrest Surveillance Pro).
When the camera is unplugged and powered back up, it does the full rotation and tilt exercise, then returns to a set spot, and I cannot get it to move from there, using ANY client.
Is my camera (two days old) failing?
Any help or test procedure welcome.
Thanx.
PTZ failure...
Re: PTZ failure...
Hi,
Please try hard resetting the camera. You can do this by pressing the green light button on the back of the camera for 15 seconds. The green light will then turn red and the camera will start to pan and tilt after a couple of seconds. After reset you have to setup the camera right from the beginning. A hard reset should fix most of the issues.

Re: PTZ failure...
That seemed to solve the problem.
But when you meant "from the beginning," you were serious... clear back to hooking up with CAT5 and turning on WiFi again.
Ugh.
Still... working well now. Didn't want to have to return unit.
Thanx so much.
