Post by gammy999 »

Please see attachment...this is occurring on LIVE and on the RECORDING...it used to not do this.....
But, I am loosing some visibility on right and left side of the screen. Where do I modify the setting to ensure it records "fully"...thanks

Are you sure you are actually losing some of the image, or is the aspect ratio (shape) changing? It looks like your screen shot is of a Surveillance Pro window. If that's the case, note that if you change the size of the Surveillance Pro window, or if you change the number of cameras displayed, it can change the shape of the camera window, producing the gray bars on left and right or top and bottom.

There is also a setting that can change the aspect ratio of the camera display. Right click on the image and check the "Window Scale" setting. Note that none of these settings should crop the image, they just change how distorted the image is and how well it fits the display window.

Thanks for the reply mikedj....it is surveillance pro but also does this on my phone...I have a door mat on the right that you use to be able to "fully" see...it has not changed (camera location, etc;). the picture above is actually from a recording.....I did notice when I changed STREAM TYPE to EXTRA (vs MAIN) it cropped it even more.....
Ideas? (see the new attachment)...this is from a few weeks ago. worked fine

Check the camera resolution. You didn't say which camera you have, but I notice on my IP4M-1026E that if you lower the resolution from 2688 x 1520 down to 1920 x 1080, it crops the image.

IP4M-1026W is my model...I noticed in the software (on phone and on SURV. PRO). I have options of 1080, 720, and VGA...it's set for 1080...is there a way to change?

Just click on "1080P" and it should open a menu where you can choose another resolution. Choose the highest resolution, which should be 2688x1520.

thats the problem...."I have options of 1080, 720, and VGA...it's set for 1080...is there a way to change?" i.e. the drop down only shows those 3 options...I have another 3mgp camera and it is ok....(=2304*1296)

I'm no expert, and I'm reaching here, but try changing the Bit Stream to a higher value, like 3072 or 4096.
