Hello,
I attempted a "search" here first AND have spoken with Amcrest Tech support. I have a brand new out of the box AD110. I have an NVR and two other cameras successfully working. I have the IOS App on my phone.
I attempted multiple times to install a new device through the IOS App. The App does not recognize the QR Code and manual efforts to enter the serial number is also not recognized. I also attempted to "find" the AD110 through the Wifi connection. No dice. I spoke with Amcrest and they suggested it might not be visible because of the 2.4 g/hrtz requirement. I've confirmed with my cable provider that my router is transmitting in both 5.0 and 2.4 ghrtz.
What am I missing? (the basic stuff is that the unit is powered on AND I am getting a strong 2.4 ghz signal at the doorbell).
NEW AD110 not connecting to WIFI
Re: NEW AD110 not connecting to WIFI
My guess is there is an issue with your phone and 2.4 wifi with Amcrest App?
Best bet would be to borrow a friends Droid phone and install Smart Home app and install your device using that phone. Once you have it installed to your routers SSID, Then you can remove and use it on your iOS system.

Re: NEW AD110 not connecting to WIFI
Okay, I tried a few things. I have a backup Android and installed the Amcrest View Pro APP. It did not work. Called Customer Support and they told me I should be using the Amcrest Smart Home App. Ok, installed first on IOS since that's my daily user. It recognized the QR Code just fine but got hung up indefinitely on the "setting up local hotspot" step. There was no mention of hitting the "reset" button.
I then installed the Amcrest Smart Home App on the Android with a similar outcome. Had to manually enter the S/N because the droid has a crappy camera. Then asked me to "reset" the AD110 and wait for some verbal message. I pressed the AD110 a number of times--varied it from one single press (an patiently waiting) to press and hold and then pressing it multiple times. I never received an audible tone or message indicating the AD110 app. The IOS app eventually timed out over a 1/2 hour or so. A couple times, on the Android...I hit "next" even though I didnt hear any type of voice or audible tone and just dead ended into a "location services" menu. I can advance no further and there does not seem to be any type of main menu. Simple, Safe and Reliable. Well, this isn't simple.

Re: NEW AD110 not connecting to WIFI
Interesting. Sorry your having some issues. I have Reset and reloaded all my Doorbell cameras on SH app and they are all working just fine on my Droid phones. I did reset and install on my iOs just for kicks but that isn't good test really because the iOS that it is running is older with older App for SH app and again it also worked on that. Not sure.
Be Safe.
Re: NEW AD110 not connecting to WIFI
It appears my 1965 house has an underpowered DC transformer--not 16-24v DC. It didnt' occur to me since the LED on the AD110 did power up but would do nothing else..inlcluding connecting to Wifi, etc. Problem solved.
