Lots of false positives at night
Lots of false positives at night
During the day, the camera works great, only get emails when there is motion in driveway. However at night, it goes berserk. I keep lowering the sensitivity hoping it will fix it. Was at 65, now it is down to 15. My driveway is white. Looking at the pictures I do not see any activity that caused the event. I get about 30 emails a night. What can I do?

Hello and Welcome to the Forum
Yeah I would set the Sensitivity back to the Normal Setting that Amcrst had it... Sadly there is not much that can be done when a camera is used in Night Vision mode. However if your lighting is not good in this area to keep your camera in Color mode I would think about getting a IR Blaster and mount it above the camera... Then in the settings of newer Amcrest Products there is a tab to turn off the IR or lower it but I would just turn it off and let the Blaster do its job... This will Reduce the False triggers....
Main issue is that the IR is close to the camera Lens... So when Bugs, or Rain or in my Case Nightly Dew floats around or flies around if bugs falls from rain or what ever the close ness of the reflections in the picture give camera or NVR or DVR the thought it is Motion you will not be able to change the settings like you are now and get good results that will work during the day...
I would put it back to 60 and turn it to color. Add a good Flood light that covers your 2 cars... don't set it so they light beams your car because it will cause un wanted reflections you want to beam past the cars with enough light to light the area of the cars....
Edit.. Also beaming past your cars might be against the Law as some areas have laws about lights that can flood the Streets... make sure to check your local laws about light in the streets... Again this could be down with IR blaster and no light would be in your Street only the Camera could see that light... Still Beam past the cars with enough to light area... Wide pattern not a Beam as it would be to Intense.

Here is a Picture of Speed Dome with 2 IR because this type of Dome don't have IR but the camera has the Ability to work with IR.. If your camera don't work with IR then you could still have something set up like this as well. Just the 2 lights would be White Light Flood Lights... I have done both...
