Looking for an easier way to find IP address for cameras.
When you have about 20 cameras at one location I find it difficult to find the IP address for a specific camera.
I use Amcrest IP Config for Mac OS. But it will give me 20 results. I put those IP addresses into Firefox on a trial and error basis to find the camera I want to configure.
About the only thing I've come up with is to power down cameras I don't want to work on.
There's got to be an easier way.

Re: Looking for an easier way to find IP address for cameras
I use my router setup menu to find the IP address. Every router has a way via PC to access all connected devices. I look for a connected device that looks like a camera and I confirm it is by then typing that IP address into the browser, or in this case the Amcrest web view. I then set the camera in Amcrest setup as a static camera and then assign the camera with a dedicated IP address in the router program. All routers program have an option to set static or dedictated IP addressed for IP connections, such as cameras. I assign static IPs to specific cameras in order to find them later or, if needed, to easy port forward for i can view via the internet.
Re: Looking for an easier way to find IP address for cameras
Suggestion:
When you go to a browser camera IP address, save as a bookmark in a Camera folder and change its description to something you know about it like location, etc. Do that for all your cameras. Then later you can just go to your camera bookmarks and find a camera description that you entered.
You do need to change all your cameras to Static so the IP addresses will be unlikely to change. See:

If you want to try other software, install Amcrest Surveillance Pro which should solve your problem and has other benefits.

I'm using Smart PSS (free) and when I go to add a device on my pc I can hit search and they all pop up right away -- including the ip address.
