iPhone push notification sound

For the past several app updates on Amcrest View Pro the issue of iPhone push notification sounds still has not been addressed. The notification comes up when motion is triggered. But the sound ONLY works for a notification if you have the app open and are actively looking at it. This kind of defeats the purpose of a push notification.

Any way to rectify this? I have confirmed this is an issue with View Pro only, not a phone issue.

Hello Thornton,

Can you please ensure that the notification sound for the Amcrest app is enabled in the phone settings under notification settings? If that is already done please provide the IOS version and model of the phone.

Hi Thornton,

Please also confirm your camera has the latest firmware, and what model/firmware version your camera is on. We've tried replicating this ourselves and it seems the sound issue occurs on older firmwares possibly, but on the latest firmware for cameras we can't seem to reproduce it.

Same problem, the push notifications show up on my screen but no audible sound or vibrate (yes, all push notifications are on in iPhone settings and current firmware, it's both on Amcrest 1080p indoor cameras and 3mo outdoor bullet cameras (12 cameras total)
