IP3M-943W right half is blurry

Post by pk4 »

Hello, I'm using the outdoor IP3M-943W for few years and everything was fine.
Recently I noticed the strange issue - please see the attached image.
If you compare left and right halfs of the image you'll notice the significant difference, similar objects located in the right half of the image (trees, tiles) are blurry, but on the left size they look fine.
I tried to clean the camera glass but it didn't effect anything.

Any advice on why it could happen and how to fix it?

Please - to see the issue better right click on the image and open it in new browser tab.
I understand that the blurriness can be a result of incorrectly set focus, but how is it possible that one half of the image is good, while the other is blurry?

My first thought would be that a film of dirt or condensation has built up in front of the lens either externally or internally. If it's the latter, after cleaning it would be important to replace the dessicant gel to prevent re-occurrence until it's time for the next clean.

I am going to guess that as stated before it could be a dirty lens or foggy lens because of the Desc Gel needs replacement... If you live in an area like I do last night most of my Indoor cameras that are facing outdoors couldn't been used because of how much humid air and the windows covered over... All my heated and fan driven cameras for outdoors were clear no issue..

In this area it would be best for a PTZ type camera and or one that offers a better lens with a VF (Vari Focal Lens) and when the lights are on at night this is going to be hard for the camera to keep a good view of things because the light are inline with the camera view...
Be Safe.
