IP2M-841 keeps automatically rotating all the way to right and then back

Post by tjroune »

I just recently purchased the wireless ProHD camera (IP2M-841). I got it all set up without any issues. Motion detection is working great and everything is recording on the microSD card as it's supposed to be. Then all of a sudden the camera just started rotating around to its right side as far as it can go, and then it rotates right back facing towards the front where it was originally at. It is doing this over and over automatically. No one was using the app at the time, nor was my network experiencing any issues. I immediately investigated and excluded these once I saw this auto rotating was happening. I was forced to just unplug it to get it to stop. What does this mean? How do I fix the issue? I have tried searching Google, as well as this forum for any answers. I cannot find any information that remotely relates to my issue. Please help.

Hello tjroune ,

If the camera loses power and restarts it can do the auto rotation.

Also you can set up the camera to automatically move with motion detection. Please check under camera settings setup> Event > Video detection if the PTZ is enabled.

It's also possible your camera is crashing. Check your logs and see if you have an Abort event in it. If so, it may be that your SD card is not properly formatted for the camera. There's another thread in here about that problem.
