For the life of me I can’t figure out how to only be notified of only human/car intrusion in an IVS region.
Where I live I can’t use motion as a trigger. I have people walking out front of my house with flashlights that get pointed all over the place when they are walking dogs. As they walk by they swing the flashlight and it goes across the front of my house and or the cars. I also live on a corner and get a lot of car headlights that swipe across everything. For these and a few more reasons I can’t use motion only as a trigger.
I bought the cameras for the AI part of it to detect Humans and cars in my driveway. If the camera does not think it’s a car being stolen again or a Human in my driveway I don’t want to be notified.
I record a 4k stream to my Synlogy NAS 24/7 in case I need to go back to something and I use the Amcrest and Synology phone app. I can’t seem to get either app to only alert me to IVS intrusions to a region that I drew.
For reference this is the new 4K AI camera that I am using.

Sadly I don't know how you have your Camera setup...
1, if you don't want motion to trigger your camera then make sure you don't turn on Motion
2, In IVS have you setup a Rule? What Rule? In the Rule have you setup what you want to trigger the rule?
3, I can't say that I know if a Amcrest IVS rule will work outside of the Camera without being connected with a AI NVR? so if your trying to make your NAS record only IVS it might not understand the rules that are set..
4, Are you using a MSD in the Camera?
Sadly I can't say without seeing what is going on inside of your camera so it is hard to make any judgement calls.. Those are the idea that come to mind...
My camera don't have any IVS rules right now seeing I have it setup for Face Detection right now however the Picture below is where you would setup your rules within your camera

Sorry it didn't finish the text or it got deleted when I put in the Picture.. Anyway under the area after you put in the Rule you can click on Human or Vehicle and setup the record time once triggered...

I think my issue may be that the Amcrest app abilities are lagging way behind the cameras abilities?

Since Amcrest View Pro apparently does not support SMD or Intrusion notifications, try the DMSS app which does support them. DMSS is from Dahua and Amcrest is a Dahua OEM. But I dont think DMSS will support Amcrest P2P if you need that.
