I received a 4ch HD-CVI kit at 1080p. The DVR is a AMDV1084-4B-W. Purchased it at Amazon.ca https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B011CS ... UTF8&psc=1
On the packaging, the specs says:
Record Rate, main streams: 1080P(1-15fps)/720P/960H/D1 (1-25/30fps). On the front side of the box, video transmission up to 1920x1080P @ 30fps, but that is not a recording specification. I understand the difference between transmission and recording frame per second.
On the Amcrest web site, https://amcrest.ca/amcrest-tribrid-amdv ... white.html, it says : Pre-Installed 2TB HD for 360 Hours 8Ch Recording 1080p @ 30fps.
Comment: euh! 8 channels, wrong it is 4 channels for this item.
On Amazon, it says the followings:
1: includes 4 heavy-duty metal bullet cameras capable of 1280 x 720p video.
Comment: euh, 720p?
2: Pre-installed 2 TB hard-drive records continuously for 360 hours on 8 channels in 1080p @ 30fps
Comment: note the 8 channels mention, euh, 4 channels maybe! The box says 15 fps, Amazon says 30 fps. Amcrest says 30 fps.
Give me a reason not to return it to Amazon because of what could be false advertising. What is true for the FPS recording capability of this DVR with one, two, three and four cameras at 1080P. Why pay for 1080P if recording is only capable of doing 720P @ 30 fps???? A $200 difference in price.
Once the truth is verified, do you commit yourself to have the discrepencies corrected on both Amazon.ca and Amcrest.ca?

I receive a kit HD-CVI 1080P 4ch. The dvr is a AMDV1080-4B-W. The box says recording at 1080p is at 15fps, but the web says and amazon.ca says 30 fps. Which is true

1080P tribrid system records at 30fps.

Why does it says 15fps on the box's technical specification?
Vincent([email protected])
You might have got wrong technical specification.

I am checking on that.

I then got disconnected from the chat after he said it was a mistake on the box's specification.
I wanted to ask how I can validate this. If it records at 1080P 30fps, then I should be able to export a video from each channel and look at the video file resolution of the specs.

Re: HD-CVI 1080 4CH kit vs recording specs
I exported a recording for one camera into a DAV file. Opened it with Amcrest Smart Play and exported it to an AVI file.
With VLC, I get the following information saying it is 1080p @30fps. I will plug other camera to see if it holds true for 4 cameras.

Re: HD-CVI 1080 4CH kit vs recording specs
I connected all cameras and exported each recording. All are at 1080P @ 30FPS.
Good, I can keep it.
