Half of my cameras stopped working! Month old system.

Hello all! I bought the HDCVI 720 system with 8 bullet cameras about a month ago and installed. Everything was working great until a few days ago. Now, 4 of the cameras aren’t working. Only get a black screen with a red question mark. Tried swapping cables where I have 2 cameras next to each other, but no joy! Been on hold for almost an hour to speak with tech support. Already tried rebooting system too. Any ideas or do I just have some bad Cams?

Let me add to this...
Called tech support and was on hold for over an hour before a man with a very thick Indian accent answered. He asked me what the problem was and I explained it to him. He was very difficult to understand due to the accent. He said he would do what he could to help out then started asking if I was there. I replied and he could hear me again. The his side of the call cut out completely. After about 40 seconds he was back and asking me to reply to him, which I did. Then his side cut out again and a few seconds later he hung up on me.
If you think I am going to wait on hold another hour on one of my only days off of work, you are insane!

Next, I tried contacting Amcrest via email, Twitter and Facebook, all of which to this point have been ignored. I was also told on an online chat session with Aaron at Amcrest that typical hold times are 1-2 minutes. When I asked why I was at 56 mins (56-23X his “typical” hold times), he ended the chat session.

I just posted a review on Amazon with 1 star. After sales support is a critical service to be provided on any product, but especially electronics. They have failed me in every way.

Bottom line, I would not recommend a purchase from this company.

Hello JayBirde,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Did you get any response for your email? It looks like the power adapter might have gone bad. To power up 8 cameras, do you have two power adapters? Are the cameras that stopped working connected to the same power adapter?
