I'm trying to use Amcrest surveillance Pro software. I have added my 4 cameras by IP address. I know it's right because I can access the cameras configuration page with that address. The cameras (4) are are all offline so I don't see anything on the live view page.
I tried changing tcp port numbers to these (obtained from the camera configuration page)
80 ........... HTTP/Onvif port
12351 ...... html5 port
554 ......... RSTP port
8000 ....... HIK port
Changing ports was a wild guess. I think a tcp port has something to do with port forwarding so the camera can be viewed remotely from the internet?
The PC I'm using is connected to the same router the cameras are on.
I changed back to port 37777. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I have had other software working (xeoma free edition) but it doesn't fit my needs. I don't know how to trouble shoot why these 4 cameras are offline.

Re: cameras offline
Welcome to the Forum
Reset camera back to Factory and try again. Make sure that the camera and PC are on the same Network range and setup ASP with IP mode. Don't change any of the port settings in the camera leave them the way they were setup from factory If that don't help might need Amcrest Support Ticket to help get your system setup

Re: cameras offline
Thanks so much for responding. I did a factory reset on the 4 cameras. The computers on my home network and these cameras are all connected to my Asus router. The address range is 192.168.1.xxx, the camera status is still offline (can not find network host).
Re: cameras offline
So when it comes to ASP, I have found that at times it can be little picky about taking passwords.. If you make it wrong first time remove and add it back don't try to just change the password.. Now this isn't for all cameras just a few I have from Amcrest act this way..
So ASP computer is lets say 192.168.1.99, Your cameras you have setup lets say 192.168.1.110, 192.168.1.111, 192.168.1.112 and 113 for the 4 camears.. When you add the camera using the IP adding method you are not able to access the camera on ASP..
Can you log into the cameras WebUI by going to the cameras IP address???

Re: cameras offline
Camera I am looking at, If you look at the main info for the camera it don't have any thing about WDR
https://amcrest.com/4k-poe-camera-turre ... ew-ai.html
Now the last camera I bought from Acmrest in IP setup. Looking at the main sales page you will see that it does state it offers 120dB True WDR
https://amcrest.com/4k-poe-camera-turre ... ew-ai.html
So the info for the camera I was taking off the Spec Sheet for the camera you listed and that I posted here as the one I thought you were asking about..

Re: cameras offline
Yes, I can access all the cameras by going to their ip address from any of my W10 or W7 computers. I have had these cameras working and recording to external storage under Xeoma. I am not using that program mostly because of cost. The free version does not have the "human detect" function so it records way too much. u/n and pwd for the cameras is simple, u/n admin pwd 123456 (factory default) so I don't think I typed it wrong.
What does ASP look for to sense the cameras online?

Re: cameras offline
To be honest not sure why or what is going on with your cameras, you talk about html5 port in your message and other numbers that were changed and then back, it hard to say why something isn't working. 123456 is no default password for any Amcrest camera I have, or known for Amcrest Cameras.
When it comes to knowing if there is access to the camera from asp is hard to know. It uses many different tcp and udp ports. Maybe if the camera is working in h.265 try one in h.264h or 264 and see if that changes anything.
Factory reset 1 camera, log into it make change to only dhcp to static, and change of factory admin password to something with at least 1 capital letter, 1 number and 1 special characters some don't work well in all cameras so try + like aNyPasS1+ then add that cameras static Ip to you ASP setup with your new password and see if you can access it after that. Again don't make change to anything besides password and giving it a Static IP so ASP has good IP at all times

Re: cameras offline
These are not Amcrest cameras, they are ForWch. The pictures look exactly like Amcrest. I thought I saw that ASP would work with any ONVIF camera.
Maybe that's not correct?

Re: cameras offline
None that I've ever tried besides Amcrest. 37777 is the TCP port it wants to see unless the both the camera and ASP are mutually changed -- typically to 8999 for ONVIF communication, but again, only with Amcrest/(Dahua) devices in my experience. Hardware identification (MAC) would likely be the other main key lending to the proprietary nature of the platform -- as many are.
Depending on your goals, there are probably better options than ASP, (or SmartPSS which is the Dahua version that will yield the same results).
Looks to me by the port numbers that your cameras may be Hikvision OEM. You may want to have a look at iVMS4200 Client which is Hik's platform. NVMS Lite is another one that may fit the bill. They're all a little glitchy, eat system resources and are old school software often STILL requiring IE or a plug-in to view real-time video.
Then there's Blue Iris, but it's $65.00. Or tinyCam which is $3.99 for life and works pretty damned well for what it is -- depending on your needs and requirements.
Re: cameras offline
Thanks so much for all your responses. Sorry about the mixup. I will look at changing tcp port but it seems doubtful it will work. MAC address, that sounds like something that would prevent ASP from letting the cameras come online if ASP is only intended for Amcrest cameras. I will try the other software options you suggested.
These (ForWch) cameras came with a program called LMS, which I have not been able to get working. I can see live video with that one but can't get anything else. There is an absolutely useless manual that came with that program and no way to contact the manufacturer for any tech support. They were near half the price on Amazon of Amcrest cameras, no wonder.
I hate to do it but if all else fails I could trash them and buy 4 Amcrest cameras, which it looks like I should have done in the first place. Thanks again for the help I've gotten on this forum.
