Cameras Keep Restarting - Amcrest IP2M-841

I have 4 Amcrest IP2M-841 cameras and 2 of them are constantly restarting. I know they are restarting because I keep hearing the noise these cameras make when you turn off and then turn them on and they start rotating by themselves.

Is this a firmware problem? What can I do to solve this issue?

Hello,

It could be an issue with their power adapter. Swap the adapter with another camera that works to see if the issue persists. If yes then it could be the camera. Please try hard resetting the cameras. If its still unresolved you can contact our RMA team to get it replaced.

Is there an micro sd card installed. If its formatted wrong it will keep restarting. Mine was formatted exfat which kept resetting the camera. If you format it as fat on a computer it should work, then format it from the web browser . If your not using or have a micro sd installed then forget this tip.

Hello I was wondering what your out come was? Did you have to replace your camera? I'm having the same issue. The camera randomly keeps restarting and we use the camera for a baby monitor and keeps waking up the baby.

squidcow you're a life (and time) saver. I've purchased an SD card an installed it in the camera to avoid losing it. It was not formatted and it kept rebooting the camera. Took it off, externally formatted it and then used the web view to format it and voila. All working, no reboots. Thank you thank you.

Both of my cameras keep doing the same. I have updated to the latest firmware, and then factory reset hoping that this would cure it, but it doesn't.

I connect them both via wireless and they record using iSpy.

Funnily, I have the an identical camera at my parents home, connected via wifi and recording on to iSpy and it never restarts.

No memory cards present in any of them,

When I factory reset, I manually configured the cameras rather than restoring from backup configs.

I started having the same problem after a couple months of use. The camera would restart every 30 min and blue iris kept losing signal. Someone mentioned the SD card being bad. Initially using Amcrest IPconfig , the sd card appeared normal, then suddenly disappeared. After unplugging the cam and physically pulling the SD card everything straightened out. I dont know what happened, never had this occur before. Possible moisture ?? I never could reliably access the SD card using Amcrest software. Amcrest hasnt updated the firmware of the IP2m-858w for over 2 years.
