Cameras have got 2 x active IP addresses???
Cameras have got 2 x active IP addresses???
I've got 2 IP2M-841B cameras both setup to have no internet access (fixed IP addresses, incorrect LAN gateway and DNS addresses). What I don't understand is that they both have 2 separate, live IP addresses on my LAN. I can ping and log in to both cameras with either IP. I found this out when I was doing a routine scan of my network with NetScan. I've checked all the network settings of both cameras and they have both been re-booted but the double IP's are still there. As far as I can tell it isn't causing any issues but it has got me wondering - any ideas?

Re: Cameras have got 2 x active IP addresses???
disconnect the network cable and if you have one IP left then its because your wifi and ethernet are both working in parallel. i have the same problem and i cannot shut off wifi from the user interface. read the entry about wifi disabling.
Re: Cameras have got 2 x active IP addresses???
That was what I thought and I admit that I only relied on having checked that I had disabled WiFi in the camera settings. I have just viewed one of the cameras on both IP's. I then disconnected the ethernet cable from the camera and again tried both IP addresses. Both were unavailable until I plugged the ethernet cable back in and now I can once again connect to the camera at both addresses.
