ASH43-W Unlock device password on every camera
My DVR software has been unresponsive as of late, and very slow to load a camera or the cameras just fail to load into it all. I decided I'd check the cameras in the Amcrest Smart Home app instead and I think I found the problem. I set the same password for all of these cameras, and in the Amcrest Smarthome App I'm getting the message 'Unlock device password' when I select a camera, but when I put in the password it says Password error. I am 100% certain this is the only password I used, it is the same for every camera, and the same one that I pass to the DVR to access the stream. Was there an update to the cameras and or Amcrest Smart Home app recently that would have caused this? What am I supposed to do at this point to be able to use my cameras?

If you are not able to access a camera that you know for sure the same password, First thing I would do is Reboot the camera just to make sure it is getting good communications with your app and NVR, IF that don't help you log in then last thing would be to do a Factory reset of the camera and setup again..

Thanks, I will try a reboot tonight and hope that helps.
Is it normal for these things to lose their password like this? Weird that it would happen to like 5 cameras all at the same time. Is factory resetting them something I should expect to have to do often going forward?

Personally if this is happening on all your cameras there has to be something else going on.
So let me ask, did you happen to change the password on the NVR since the last time the cameras were working?
Normally this isn't something that is normal in the Amcrest cameras being in your ASH products or IP. So if it was done with more then 1 then there has to be something else going on..
IF there was no change in Password in the NVR shortly before the issues of your cameras then I would for sure make a Ticket with Amcrest support and being able to give them more info then what one should share here and the ability to maybe access the camera to make out what happened with your camera.
Only time i know that a camera has changed a password is when setup of the camera on the NVR and the NVR for some reason didn't retain the password after a reboot. Only happened to me once or twice. But never had an issue with a camera changing its password over time without being reset to factory..

I'm not using an NVR, just Frigate (and the Amcrest Smart Home App on Android) - and in that I just add the password of the device to connect to the device stream. Thanks! I'll see about opening a ticket with them. Something really strange is going on.

Same thing happening here.
No NVR in play.
Also a buddy of mine that I installed cameras at his house is having the same issue as of today.
This is either password corruption issue, or someone unknown is accessing the cameras

Same problem here

Same problem here??? What is the problem.. When someone says they don't have a DVR or NVR in play and that there is some Password Corruption issue? What is the issue?
First so everyone is Clear.. ASH PRODUCTS ARE NOT IP CAMERAS they are Smart Home cameras.. They require Smart Home app to setup and work correctly then if someone was to connect to Blue Iris and or DVR/NVR there is no WebUI so there is limited Support.. So if the issue is that you are trying to access the cameras WebUI.. It don't have one.. IF you are having issue with RTSP then need to make sure that it isn't in the settings.. Some things are trying to connect Encryptions for RTSP and if that is the case then try without it enable
Only thing supported by Amcrest in Smart Home products is the Smart Home app. Any other 3rd party products are of limited support.. Outside of that if you need a WebUI camera then you will want to find a IP camera and not a Smart Home Product..
