Amcrest View Pro (iOS v3.40.0057) - Login Timed Out

Has anyone been getting a "Login Timed Out" error since installing the newest update (v3.40.0057) of the Amcrest View Pro for iOS?

I've contacted Amcrest support twice now regarding this issue, through email and chat, and both times I was asked to call the technical support phone number to have someone remote into my computer and help me troubleshoot the issue. This is clearly a problem with the iOS app itself. There's nothing wrong with my configuration. I was able to access and view my cameras prior to the v3.40.0057 update. I have 2 other iOS devices running v3.40.0056 and I'm able to connect/view just fine.

I swear this stupid app will work for a week and then we go through the same ridiculous issues of not being able to connect. Can't believe how unreliable this company is.

It is definitely the app as I can access the camera from safari running on the same phone -- rules out everything but the app.

Please uninstall/reinstall the app and add the camera again and see if it works.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app did not work. I still get a "Login Timed Out" error.

Amcrest support told me this:

Our app development and R&D teams have submitted an update to address issues that are affecting the app. All updates have to go through an approval process before becoming active and pushed out. As soon as the update is approved by the vendors, it will send an update to your devices.
