I have two units at two locations with different issues. Anyone else have these issues and found a workaround or know when to expect a firmware update? Or has Amcrest set these models as EOL...
Location 1: Email are offset by 12 hours when motion screenshot is emailed to me. Shows as 7pm when its a 7am screenshot. (Unit is a Amcrest AMDV10808-4B4D-W)
Location 2: Unable to download video clips from unit. The clips get downloaded but do not work/play. Have tried each file format and updated codecs. Unit plays fine on local DVR itself but not ideal when away from unit and someone I don't know shows up in yard. (Unit is a Amcrest NV1104, wired)
If these units are end of life I would assume any other similar DVR would work with the existing cameras if Amcrest decides they don't want to fix these units anymore. Thanks for your help!
Amcrest no longer supporting?
Re: Amcrest no longer supporting?
Hi rdplatts156,
Case 1 : Regarding time stamp on email,Please make sure the time zone setting on your DVR and also try to use PC sync option it will synchronize your time zone with local time.
Case 2 : Use amcrest smart play application to play the downloaded videos https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/ar ... Smart-Play

Thanks Melvin for your reply. The time is correct on the system and cameras its just not right when an email is sent.
I'll try the second option to see if that helps with the playback of videos and let you know.

Update regarding part two....Videos still do not play. One thing I noticed is when they begin being exported they show a size of 9 or 10mb but when they have finished downloaded they show 0-220kb.Melvin wrote:Hi rdplatts156,
