Amcrest 960H Video Security System

Post by Encrypted_God »

I just purchased the system about a month ago. I had to unplug everything from the outlets to repaint the house. Now that the job is done I plugged everything in and the DVR works (red blinking light and solid green power light) but no cam signals from ALL 4 channels. I've tried: rebooting and powering off/on the DVR, different wall sockets, Using only one cam at a time in succession but nothing works. Any suggestions?

Hello Encrypted_God ,

Please try the below settings.

Go to settngs > System > General and Change the Video standard to NTSC from PAL and reboot the DVR.

If this does not help, also try doing a factory reset under system settings.

Finally check to see if cameras are receiving power as the power supply might have gone bad. Cover the camera lense area with palm and see if you can see the red glow from LED lights

I've found the culprit. It's one of the BNC cables. Specifically the power. Am I eligible for a free one? I just purchased the system on May 9, 2017

*UPDATE* No...it's NOT the BNC cable. Going through more detailed process of elimination, it's absolutely ONE of the cameras.

*UPDATED*!!!!!!!!

it IS the BNC cable!!!!!! As I switched out the camera. I swear it is the BNC cable. Sorry for my presumption on my last *update*. Again, it is the BNC cable for sure.

Melvin...if you are the site admin, some would expect an answer. I am a LONG term user of the EVGA company. If you cannot provide support than you should pass this situation onto another who can help. So it would behoove you to try to help.
Again...I know it's the BNC cable. Can I get a replacement. Please.

Thank you. I do appreciate your response and help. All I need is one BNC cable. I WILL be getting more cams depending upon this issue that I'm experiencing. Thank you Melvin! Image
