Hey all- I purchased this camera and love the picture and the camera capabilities.
I did not get it for security reasons- I actually got it to use to video a music church stage with the thought
that if my idea doesn't work- well it becomes a security camera but I have some questions maybe some of you
guys that have them could help me with.
When it currently records...it doesn't record a block of time- its like a lot of short videos that I would have to piece together. 1st - how do I record a solid block of time?
Second- I am also trying to run external sound from a mixing board but it doesn't seem to be taking it. I set the setting to external.
lastly the files seem to be huge ...like 2 gig ...anyway of decreasing this?
thanks....Rick Courtney

Re: AMCREST 1080P
depends on how youre recording, you could do live record from a browser and it will continually record, or you could set a time in the scheduled recording to record "General" instead of just motion detect or alarm
as far as sound, sorry i havent used those inputs
videos will be fairly large, you'll probably want to use some sort of video editing software to compress it
