I have a new AMDV7204-S3, when I change the time-zone to GMT-8 it appears to save it, however when I refresh the page, it reverts back to GMT-6. The logs show: "GMT-6 > GMT+8" This only seems to occur when I get it to GMT-8. US/Pacific time. When the time auto-updates, it becomes the wrong time due to it being incorrectly on GMT-6.
I updated the firmware, but the issue continues.... Please help!

Please go the settings > System > general and under time settings uncheck the NTP option and save the settings. Then set the correct time zone.

Why must you disable NTP to be able to set a timezone? I would think it would be beneficial to be able to use NTP to keep the time updated but not have it change the timezone each time you enable it

Hitting the same issue and disabling NTP is really not an acceptable solution. Is Amcrest ever going to release a firmware update for this?

Sadly I have one of the same as well and again sadly it seems that that line of DVR is Discontinued and will no longer get any updates in Firmware... The last FW was dated 2017 and is V3.210.AC01.4

Sorry to hear about that, however my cameras are brand new so I'd be extremely disappointed if Amcrest stopped releasing firmware updates for a device I bought a few weeks ago.
Thanks for the welcome message, even if the general feeling I'm catching from this forum is despair and sadness due to terrible state of the Amcrest software stack. Basically *every* *single* *thing* I try to do does not work in a way or another. I'd like to say I'm positive Amcrest will fix all these issues but every time I search about a new problem I'm hitting I can see years old forum posts with people who never got a fix.
