Alert notifications from all 6 of My Amcrest cameras are working now through my NV4108-HS NVR, at time of this writing. Notifications are being received by Amcrest ViewPro2 on my Android phone. I really like the way the alerts work now. each notification at top of home screen has the camera name that made the alert with most recent on top, very nice. Clicking the alert notification on the home screen instantly takes you to the Events Page, very good and fast. Alerts are separated into folders by their camera name, excellent. And the folder for the most recent Camera that caused the most recent alert has a red dot on the folder and is at the top of the list of folders, I really like that most recent on top. Open folder and one or more alerts from that camera in that cameras folder also sorted by most recent first. This is great and very usable again.
It takes a few minutes the first time to figure out how to delete all the alert videos and to delete the multiple notifications for each camera on the home screen but is very easy and I think it can be done quickly once a users figures out how to do it.
Thank You app developers and technicians tech support etc that fixed the alerts they are working so much better now. Thank You.
Thank You Revo2Maxx and check6 for your detailed comments letting me know your older cameras were able to get alerts. Revo2Maxx comment about using P2P format to setup a 751B older camera and check6's comment about an older camera IPM-721S and adding devices using their IP address. Both their comments interested me to uninstall original ViewPro for now and re install ViewPro2 again. Then log into a older camera too go over my network settings.
My older cameras were not allowing me to add a single camera as a new device into ViewPro2 which reported failed connection after clicking save, it was because I was trying to type the serial number manually which is adding them as a P2P device, however after logging into the camera to see its settings, Under Network - TCP/IP - to the right of the TCP/IP tab there is a tab for P2P and the first option is Enable which was not checked. I checked the Enable box on only 1 of the older cameras and then the older camera added easily as a new device to ViewPro2 and the motion alerts worked from that single camera to ViewPro2.
I think it was the developers that fixed the motion alert problem that the alert works again. So I deleted the single camera as a device out of the app. And then added my NV4108-HS NVR as the device in the ViewPro2 app by scanning the NVR P2P code into the app. And all the alerts from all 6 Amcrest cameras are working again.
I logged into the other 3 older cameras just to see if P2P was enabled on them and it was not enabled on any so I left it off. Because when I add each camera into the NV4108-HS NVR I add them there by their IP address.

Re: Push notifications no longer working
Thanks, just thought I should add 1 more detail that might help someone else. This erases all prior stored data and configurations out of the app.
My inexpensive Motorola phone is working good now with ViewPro2 for a couple days as mentioned in earlier POST.
Then tried adding ViewPro2 on our LG-G6 phone, and the alerts were not coming in from all cameras only two newer cameras alerts were coming in even though all the cameras are connected to the NV4108-HS NVR. (the rest of this paragraph did not fix it) So I tried adding my older camera that I had earlier logged into by using that cameras IP address and enabled P2P on it in my earlier post, adding it as an additional device to the ViewPro2 app. did not help this time on LG Phone, Then went to ViewPro2 home screen and click 3 horizontal dots - device details - and deleted NV4108-HS NVR device and the single camera from the App Then added the 1 older camera by itself by scanning in its P2P code, then alerts worked on that old camera was able to get a notification to the app, so deleted the old camera as a device from the app, and then added the NV4108-HS NVR as the new device to the app and still the same only 2 new cameras alerts notifications would show on ViewPro2 on the LG phone.
So I did what fixes many other apps to give it a fresh start like a completely fresh install but wipes out all the old configurations setting and data stored in the app as well as any devices that are configured in the app all get removed from it, giving the app a brand new start like a fresh install.
Finally to get the notifications working on the old LG-G6 phone I went into the phones settings and selected, Settings - Storage - Other Apps - Amcrest ViewPro2 and a screen opens with info about apps data and storage sizes, Clicked on Clear Cache, and then Clicked on Clear Storage.
Went back to the LG-G6 phones home screen, and tapped on the ViewPro2 icon and it opens up like a brand new freshly installed app, asking for permissions and agreed to all those, then scanned in the P2P QR code in the NV4108-HS NVR and completed naming it and adding the password, Once added on the apps home screen just click the 3 horizontal dots and select Push Notifications -Turn them On and I just selected Motion Detection and checked box for all 7 cameras. and save, or back 1 screen and save.
After that all cameras notifications are seen on the ViewPro2 app on the LG Phone.
